Free UEFA Football Festival in Hyde Park

UEFA have chosen London’s Hyde Park as the setting for their free 8 day football festival leading up to the UEFA Champions League finals this May.

Footballing legends Gary Lineker and Graeme Le Saux along with women’s England coach Hope Powell and London Mayoral Advisor Kulveer Ranger announced the free festival over the weekend which will run from the 21st May to 28th May.

Described as a football-related festival with a great deal of emphasis on the family nature of the game, it is expected the eight day event will include:

  • Live football areas
  • Five-a-side tournaments
  • Master classes
  • Entertainment and bars
  • Football travelling museum

The museum will give fans a chance to get up close with the UEFA Champions Trophy.

London is also hosting both the men’s final at Wembley Stadium on the 28th May and women’s final at Craven Cottage Ground on the 26th May – home to Fulham Football Club.

More details about the festival will be announced in due course.
