Westminster council environmental health officials have allowed ice cream parlour “The Icecreamists” to start selling breast milk ice cream once more.
The shop, owned by former Fathers 4 Justice head-campaigner Matt O’Connor, started selling the product earlier this month. The ice cream is formerly named “Baby Gaga” is blended from a combination of human breast milk, vanilla pods and lemon zest.
However environmental health officials soon banned the sale after fears that it might contain viral infections such as hepatitis. However after extensive testing, the ice cream came back perfectly fit to eat so now Mr. O’Connor has been allowed to resume sales.
At £14 for a small scoop this might be a little expensive for general consumption so we don’t forsee it appearing in Marks & Spencers anytime soon, however with all the publicity surrounding this, it may well prove a quirky if a little controversial hit with Londoners.
For more details of where to find this ice cream, see the Icecreamists web site.
